These Terms and Conditions govern your use of SETGO's platform (website and mobile application). SETGO is a listing platform that connects users for services, rentals, and marketplace listings. SETGO does not provide services, own rental properties, or sell marketplace items directly. We only facilitate connections between users.
By accessing and using our Platform, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Platform Purpose
SETGO operates three listing categories:
- Services: Service providers list their offerings; customers browse and contact them
- Rentals: Property/vehicle owners list rentals; renters inquire and book directly
- Marketplace: Sellers list items for sale; buyers inquire and purchase directly
SETGO is not a party to any transaction between users. All arrangements, payments, contracts, and disputes are solely between the listing owner and the inquiring user.
2. User Accounts
a. Age: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
b. Accuracy: You must provide accurate, current information during registration.
c. Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
d. Verification: Service providers may undergo optional identity verification. Verified status indicates identity confirmation only, not service quality guarantee.
3. Listing Content
a. Responsibility: You are solely responsible for content you post (listings, reviews, messages).
b. Prohibited Content: Illegal items, fraudulent services, misleading information, adult content, weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods.
c. Intellectual Property: You retain ownership of your content but grant SETGO a license to display, promote, and distribute it on the Platform.
d. Removal: SETGO may remove content that violates these terms or applicable laws.
4. Paid Features
SETGO offers two paid features:
Featured Listings
Pay to boost listing visibility for a set duration (e.g., 7 days). Non-refundable once activated.
Subscription Plans
Monthly/yearly plans for providers with increased limits, priority placement, and features. Prorated refunds for unused full months on cancellation.

5. User Transactions
a. No Payment Processing: SETGO does not process payments for services, rentals, or marketplace sales between users. Payments are arranged directly between parties.
b. No Liability: SETGO is not responsible for payment disputes, non-delivery, quality issues, refunds, or any transaction outcomes between users.
c. No Guarantee: SETGO does not verify licensing, insurance, qualifications, or condition of listings. Users must perform their own due diligence.
d. Disputes: Resolve directly with the other party. SETGO may provide mediation support but has no authority to enforce outcomes.
6. Provider Verification
a. Optional: Providers may submit verification documents (ID, business registration, licenses).
b. Review: SETGO reviews submissions and may approve or reject. Decision is final.
c. Meaning: Verified badge indicates identity/credential verification only. It does not guarantee service quality, licensing compliance, or transaction safety.
d. Revocation: SETGO may revoke verification if information is found to be false or provider violates terms.
7. Prohibited Activities
- Fraud, scams, or misleading representations
- Harassment, threats, or abuse of other users
- Spam, unauthorized marketing, or scraping
- Circumventing platform fees or features
- Illegal activities or listing prohibited items
- Impersonation or false identity
- Interfering with platform security or operations
8. Limitation of Liability
a. As-Is: The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
b. No Liability: SETGO shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any transactions between users.
c. Third-Party Links: We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from the Platform.
9. Termination
SETGO may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, illegal activity, or at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from account settings.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of Sri Lanka.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.
